Nice quiet park. Secluded sites. Be careful about reserving the sites with electric, they're meant to be used to support campers with special needs.
The trails here are beautiful! We went in min-August so the forest felt humid and tropical. There was moss everywhere and it was very hilly so you could see deep down into the forest from the walking paths above. Definitely a great spot for hiking and forest dwellers.
What a beautiful and quiet place to go for a hike! Went on a sunny Sunday afternoon and didn't see a single other person the whole time! Trails (the many miles of them) are pretty well kept, and terrain is pretty easy. Short drive from the cities. No cost to park or access trails as a hiker - I seriously don't understand why this isn't a popular area, but I am not going to complain! The dog and I loved it!!
Nice hiking, in the unit I was in (Brandt Pines). Good trail system, nice views, well maintained lots and facilities. I don't ski but I suspect it is a good place to do so
I'm sure this is a great place, but unfortunately, I went hiking on the ATV trail by mistake, and it was not great for hiking. I would rate one star, but I have heard that the real hiking trail is better. Hike at your own risk.
